Anyone suffer from Indigestion/Acid reflux
I have had it for a while and have had tablets.

Anyway last week someone suggested drinking apple cider vinegar.

2 teaspoons in a mug of hot water each morning. Sorted me right out within a week.

Just thought I would pass it on for those others that suffer, as there seem to be quite a few.

My stomach is a human chroming system (as proved when I accidently swallowed a rusty old ballbearing and a day later it came out glistening)… had gut rot all me childhood that was unexplained until I had a burst duodenal ulcer when I was 17… once proven it was bacterial I guinea pigged the treatment that cured that side of stomach problems but even then I had a gut that gurgled like a good un….

Lansoprazole is a game changer… can eat and drink what I want and don’t have a grumble… get on the stuff

Yep, had AR for 5 years, drove me to despair. It's not actually been so bad as late though but it will come back for sure.

I happen to have some apple/cider vinegar here which has never been used (fuck knows why she bought it 'coz I never) I might give it a try.

But, do you take it every day indefinitely or only when you have attacks? Same with those taking pills, every day no matter, or only when having an attack?

I love the taste of ACV. Not sure I've noticed any health benefits though, but down a shot to put hairs on your chest - and a hole in your larynx.

I've got some Omeprazole, they are the fucking business, Sold0, if they're the same thing?

You could have ten pints and a vindaloo and wouldn't even burp.

Any good fermented stuff helps. I had it for years. It was coffee that was causing it.

Re: Anyone suffer from Indigestion/Acid reflux
There you go P son...

There have been many debates into the differences between omeprazole and lansoprazole. Both can be used as an effective acid reflux treatment. Although they are from the same family of drugs, there are slight differences that may need to be considered when taking these drugs.

Lansoprazole has been known to be the more effective acid reflux treatment and in some cases, considered faster acting. However antacids such as Gaviscon can reduce the absorption of this medicine from the gastrointestinal tract and may decrease its efficiency. Therefore Lansoprazole should not be taken within an hour of taking antacids.

You should also consult your doctor if you are anaemic or iron deficient when taking Lansoprazole. This is because when there is a reduction in acid in the stomach, the absorption of iron and ferrious sulphate is affected; thus reducing the efficacy of these drugs.

Omeprazole may enhance the anti-clotting effects of the anticoagulant warfarin. You should check your INR levels (blood clotting time) before taking this medication and upon stopping it.

With both medications, it has been suggested by recent studies that the risk of bone fractures is increased when taken on a long term basis. This can be managed by taking enough calcium and vitamin D to reduce this risk.

Re: Anyone suffer from Indigestion/Acid reflux
In order

Omeprazole - The best, but only via prescription.
Nexium - does the job, but pricey.
Zantac, but only if you get the ones in the US, or take about 4 at a time.
Gaviscon, 5-6 at a time.
Rennie..eat the whole box, repeat every half hour....may as well eat chalk.

I'm on Lansoprazole but only because I have to take Clopidogrel and daily aspirin

Re: Anyone suffer from Indigestion/Acid reflux
